Hi, not sure if anyone can offer some advice. We completed our IVAN 2 years ago but still have another 2 years before our credit rating is clear. We need to buy a car and just wondered if anyone has used money barn? They have gone through the check and said they can help us on what they call a tier ...

I don't think it is right but I wasn't sure if because we settled with a full and final offer that they had put that down as a condition but there is no mention of it. We did all of our application for the loan on line, it was part of a together mortgage.

To be honest we didn't even know we were paying PPI but then they sent us a letter saying we could have been mid-sold PPI but we were shocked that we even had any and replied to their letter but that was months ago, we then got this the other week. Cath, out of interest was yours a loan and were you...

So what will happen the people who have an IP that says the money is theirs to keep after their IVA is completed? I thought it would have to be standardised. You can't have one IP letting people keep it and others not. Also what about the people sent the cheque directly?

Out of interest why is that other websites from debt experts say that after completion of an IVA the PPI money is your money and that creditors will try and get out of paying you but as long as you have your completion certificate then it is your money. I have also read that on this website. Very co...

Sorry I am confused Brooke of London, we are not in an IVA anymore. I do wish we had done the claims now before my parents offer but we didn't even know we were paying PPI for one of them until they told us we had been mis-sold. My parents wouldn't have had to pay so much as it was everything that t...

That is exactly what we did do, unfortunately continuing with the IVA under our change of circumstance was not an option. We still have to pay my parents back, it is not new debt, it is the same debt but it has moved to my parents whose terms are more flexible.

Oh well looks like the greedy bankers will get their money back then. Shame my parents can't get a part of it considering we owe them and are trying our hardest to pay them back the money they paid into the IVA. I feel they should get some too!

I personally do not agree as I wouldn't of got into so much debt with the creditors if I had realised I didn't have to pay the PPI. My monthly payments would have been much more manageable and I probably wouldn't have needed the IVA. That's just my opinion though.

Hiya, can anyone help? We finished our IVA a year ago with a full and final settlement paid by my parents, quite a bit earlier than the IVA was due to finish and have our completion certificate. We have put in a claim recently for PPI as we didn't even realise we had a choice regarding the PPI on so...
