We've been in an IVA for 5 months now and my husband has been constantly hassled by Sky Card (Barclaycard). They refuse to speak with Payplan and have now sold the debt onto a Debt Collection Agency. We've now received a letter saying if no payment is received bailiffs then Court procedures will tak...

My husband and I are in an IVA and are currently renting a house £850 per month. Can anyone tell me if we were to move to a cheaper rented house would we have to pay the difference in rent over to the IVA? My husband is self-employed and things are really difficult at the moment and there's no way w...

My husband and I are in an IVA (since July 09). He is constantly being harassed by Sky Card. At first they said (on their numerous calls a day) that they knew nothing about the IVA. Their Head Office is Grant Thornton and all correspondence must have gone through them, eventually this was sorted and...

NR were a nightmare for us too, big time!! We were also with Payplan, I'm sure Payplan don't follow the criteria that NR require and am also sure that if we had gone with Melanie and her team, things would have gone much more smoothly.

We are with Payplan. I don't think it would be possible to input new I&E as it would look too suspicious surely if we altered figures. All our other creditors voted for the IVA (MBNA and Sky Card didn't vote). Thanks for all your advice, its much appreciated. We are speaking to Payplan this morning....

Well our creditors meeting was re-convened for today. NR are still insisting for an extra £153 per month (and £45 extra from other creditors). We are mulling it all over and making a decision which way to go - IVA or bankruptcy. I know it is wrong to go for an IVA if you cannot afford the payments, ...

Hi Jan
I think they are tired of me contacting them and to be honest have come to the conclusion that BR is the way to go as I'm sure NR are not going to budge .

I've just realised our figures were adjusted to fit by Payplan - they have amended our housekeeping from £550 to £740!!! No wonder Northern Rock are querying it.
I must admit I didn't check them when I received the proposal - so partly my fault.
