Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows if your allowed a savings account when you are BR? We had one before we went BR (not that there was anything substantial in it!) but it was closed down after we went to court, so really wanted to open another to put allowance money in. Also, we have just started...

Hi all,
We had some bad news a couple of weeks ago that my partners Grandad died.
I just have a question about inheritance. In the Will it states that my partner is due to get £10000. Will the OR want any or all of this, do we get to keep any.
Thanks for your help

Which is brilliant and thankfully affordable. Only got 6 months left of the BR to go. We're on the homeward strai...

Hi all sorry I haven't posted for a while. Can't believe we got through our first Christmas ever without using a credit card!! I have a quick question regarding BR. Back in Nov/Dec my partner was told by OR that we would have a IPO of 400.00 per month and also that his tax would be a nil tax code. W...

Hi we have just had a letter from the OR that we can keep the house as its in negative equity (who'd have thought negative equity is good news!!!) We just have to pay £1 each and only got to pay one lot of solicitors fees rather then 2 lots as first thought. Just got to wait for the IPO amount now. ...

Thanks very much for the info melanie. Its our parents that are buying it, so perhaps we will not need a solictor. We both have quite close families so think it unlikely that we will fall out.
