My only comment is see my signature and I only post this as a help to others following in the footsteps of succesful IVAers is to avoid these useless, incompetant companies who are nothing but leeches sucking the lifeblood out of people in vulnerable situations for there own personal gain and have u...

I beleive a number means number of months in arrears, I seem to recall mine having a 1 then a 2 then a 3 at some point on some debts. They might post 6 for the next 4.5 years every month. What's the date of removal from report, that's the really important thing.

I assume you mean they are posting 'D's to your credit report and not actually increasing the debt as well. In relation to the 'D's I don't know if you can stop them doing that since as you are in an IVA, you are in default until the IVA concludes. As the long as the date of removal from file is cor...

I entered an IVA with exactly IVORIVAs terms. See my signature, My IVA is over now for 1.5 years, but i still come back and cry when I see people who have fully paid before I did and still have no completion. As some have said before, this is so sad that a route to solve peoples problems has been us...

Your credit rating will improve immediately after your IVA is concluded and removed from the insolvency register. Using a vanquis card for example will also help and as defaults drop off it will improve further. The biggest impact is when all the defaults fall off and the IVA itself but you don't ha...

Calling creditors is a waste of time to be honest. I created a generic letter informing creditors of my intention to enter an IVA and all future correspondence should be to my IP. They ignored it and there various departments continued to ring me but I just ignored them. If you are in debt to a cred...

Being devils advocate you may well have paid PPI on a loan that is fully paid prior to the IVA and not one of your current creditors.

PPI could be claimed and all current creditors would benefit.

On the basis that you must around 4 years into your IVA it seems a bad idea to fail it now if your issue is that you have earned a bit more and did not pay over the bit extra due to increased income. As an ex-customer of them I can safely say you can talk to them to resolve it. Remember though it's ...

I can only add what made my decision now nearly 7 years ago. Bankruptcy - Personally just felt was not right, I didn't feel bankrupt enough and sort of felt that was the ultimate failure to pay back my debts. IVA - Admits to bankrupt, pays back what I can afford. Not an easy choice, but it is one th...

And every months payment in the IVA effectively 'Resets' the Statute of Limitations' date on all the debts back to 6 years in the future even if the debt is now older than 6 years as any payment is considered an acknowledgement of the debt.
