thanks everyone this is a truly awful time. It is raising the £700 thats the problem! My mortgage is half my salary so getting lodgers will help. You thought when I met him 7yrs ago and he had £50,0000 debt that I put on my mortgage alarm bells should have rung.....stupid girl

The only place I have ever had a problem using my card was online food shopping.....I called tesco and they have confirmed it is due to being a visa electron I have no problem using it in store or shopping on line for anything else....just wondered if everyone had the same problem with tesco online

The above should read "tesco online shoppping" Apparently it is because the visa electron can be issued to 16yr olds and you can shop for alcohol online......

can I just ask is a bonus teated differently to overtime? I am set to receive a one off bonus in my December pay to the take home value of £700 I assumed the 10% 50/50 rule would apply as it does to overtime.

I am rooting for you all.....I am so pleased we finally did it although we should have explored this route a couple of years ago. At least now if we get offered a little overtime it is additional as before it was just swallowed up as I have now worked out that each month we were probably minus £600 ...

I changed my home number and put the mobile on vibrate and did not answer one single call to creditors.....just could not face it to be honest I felt so embarrassed. My partner answered his phone to them all the time I just suppose it depends on the individual and me not communicating with them did ...
