Thank you for the advice! I did alert this company that I was due to complete my iva and the guy said that this wasn't a problem (although he is bound to say that if they get a cut of the profits!!!) I think I will take your advice and leave it, am sure I can struggle on, I have done for the past 5 ...

Thank you for replying!! I was worried that would be the answer, although luckily I have yet to put a claim through. Would it be worth claiming in the future? I am not going to lie, it would be a great help to receive a small payout as I am coming out of work shortly to complete a social work degree

Thanks for your reply Jan, am sure you can imagine what I am going through at the moment, and your kind words of wisdom puts my mind at rest for a while.
I don't suppose you know the options I would have if my iva was to fail at this point?
Fingers crossed, and being positive that it won't fail.

What a shock it was when they told me it was going to cost £1,000. I was so worried that the company were trying to rip me off! BUT i am a worrier. Does anyone know the likelihood of an iva failing at this point? I am told that the creditors could take me for bankruptcy OR even demand I pay back all...

Hi all, can anyone give me an idea about what happens at a variation meeting? What is the difference between this and a resolution meeting? My iva company have informed me that this meeting will cost me £1,000, with no guarantee that there will be any resolution. I am confused and worried!!!!

Thanks pennyless, your words are a great comfort. I just hope that you are right, it would seem that there was a great lack of communication with someone from my iva company, and unfortunately I am the one having to pay!
Hope all goes well with your own proposal, sounds like you will be fine!

Hi rooney22, I would agree with all of the above. Having been with an iva company for the past 3 years, it is still quite fresh in my mind as to what I had to do. You will find that a lot of banks are connected, and so it is important to find one which is not connected to the one you are with presen...

Thankyou to you all for your kind replies. I am told that my dividends should not fall any lower than 36pence in the pound, without increasing my monthly payments it would fall to a 28.8pence. I have managed to make an increase which has now increased the dividends to 31.8. I am told that this is st...

I will be honest, I can't actually remember the original loan figure. But ids accepted my iva proposal on the figures i provided them with. Having taken the time to contact my creditors for figures, I expected that it was all ok. Now 3 years into my iva, I get told that I owe 7,000 more to natwest t...

Hi, Is there any reason why your dividends won't be as much as was first agreed? What company are you with? I am with ideal debt solutions. Originally when i took out my iva 3 years ago i asked my bank for the amount i owed on my loan, i was informed that I owed 18,000 and now 3 years later ideal d...

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have been paying into an iva for 3 years and have recently been told by the company that i need to have a resolution meeting due to my dividends going down. I have been told that this could fail my iva if the creditors decline this. I am really concerned that my iva...
