Thanks all for the comments so far, a mixed bag of opinions but I am glad some of your opinions are that they can't really do what they are suggesting. Foggy - after acquired assets are not mentioned in my old IVA terms, only current assets at the time of the IVA. I read the case too I can't see any...

Hi, Feels odd being back but I could do with some help with a query re ppi claims!! I had my IVA with BE (GT) and completed it 4 years ago, 2012. The completion certificate was issued and the wording states all debts have been cleared, obligations met and the iva is closed (no mention of being able ...

As said above, it will drop of your credit file six years after you initially entered it/it was accepted. However, Experian do not remove it from the credit file until you send the completion certificate to them. Also, you may find that some of the creditors added defaults some time after the IVA wa...

Hi, Not 100% but suspect that GT would expect half of the full overtime initially, although if your circumstances change you can request completion of a new I&E (and see if they will let you change the amounts you pay that way). It might be difficult though, as the overtime presumably isn't guarante...

Oops, sorry, I was removed from the register after three weeks. Worth noting that whilst Equifax and Call Credit automatically take the IVA off your credit report after six years, Experian don't remove it until six years has passed AND you send them your completion certificate.

Hi, Very exciting times! I finally got mine in July, six years after entering the IVA and a year after the final payment. I've just spent the last three months clearing up my credit report, what a chore, but now have PERFECT credit scores with all three agencies. I've also managed to get a credit ca...

Hi All, Just to weigh in, I finally received my CC today, 12 months after my final payment. I kept chasing the main helpline to no avail and in the end it was only getting Karol at GT involved that finally got things moving (and even then the CC has arrived two months later than promised)! Not to wo...

I appreciate the update from Karol and that she has apologised. I've been advised that I will receive my CC this month and so fingers crossed (final payment last July). The wait is annoying but my frustration was always with the lack of updates and me having to do all the chasing. I do have some sym...

Hi All, Not sure if it's karma or luck but I have just had a message from Karol confirming that I will definitely be getting my CC at the end of May. A month later than promised, 11 months on (by then) but hopefully, finally finished; am I stupid to be hopeful again?!? I do feel for Karol because sh...

Hi Matt, I would be interested to know how you get on. Mine also was explained to be a simple case and 10 months after making my final payment I'm still waiting for my CC. I got in contact with Karol, GT Contact on this site, and to be fair she was very helpful and told me that the distribution of m...

Hi, I really hope that things look up for you. If you take nothing else from this forum, take that you are not alone in how you feel. Many of us have been there and the positive is that you do come out the other end, it just takes time and support. As others have said, you must speak to your GP and ...

I've found Karol great too, my completion certificate is expected any day! It is a shame that she is having to work so hard to do what should be happening anyway but I hope you gets some recognition for it.

Hi Carper, I agree with everyone above. My IVA Company has a std 6 month period to make payments to creditors and issue the completion certificate etc. It sounds like yours may just be confirming the same. Whether it all gets done in 6 months is a different question. I'm expecting my certificate in ...
