Last year I tried to change from N Power to SWE. They were asking for £150 deposit but I expect that was because I failed the credit check. I decided to stay put.

I'm so glad I found this after having just just seen what's left (or not left)in my bank account for the rest of the month. I really needed cheering up. Saltyseaplumb that is the funniest thing I've read in years, tears of laughter are running down my cheeks as I type.

Reading this has just sent me into a blind panic as I have a co -op account and my direct debits are due out today. I already have a cashminder account. I checked through the T&C's I was sent recently but couldn't find anything abut closing current accounts, presumably because mine is already a cash...

It's happened to me a few times at the Tescos cashpoint. When I've tried the one next to it, it's fine. Always assumed it was a fault

I'm on the downward slide too. It was a hard old slog up and I'm sure there'll be a fair few stumbles on the way down but I'm getting there :-)

Just wondering has anyone swapped energy suppliers since being in an IVA? Just before I entered into mine I switched to Npower and to be fair, they've always been able to switch me to cheaper tariffs whenever my current one has run out. However the other day I was contacted by Switch Energy Helpline...

I have a co op cashminder account with a visa debit card which thankfully I can use at the petrol pumps. My nearest branch is 18 miles away. I rely on the online banking which I find excellent. On the odd occasion I've needed to get to the branch I've been able to take a short detour on the way home...

I'm coming up to my 3rd annual review. It's passed fairly quickly though I'm betting the next 2 will drag!

Thanks Melanie will phone tomorrow. Been worried sick about this. Everything has been running smoothly with just the odd hiccup which I've been able to deal with. This is just one of those unfortunate things where a few things have happened at once.

Thanks Broke of London. Hopefully only 1 payment beak will be needed. It's so unfortunate that those 3 things have happened at once or I could have probably managed. Will definitely ring my case manager on Monday.

Feeling really cheesed off today. I'm just at the half way mark of my IVA and up to now things have been going ok. A few week ago my car broke down on the way home from work. A new clutch cost me £331 and wiped out my savings. I also need 2 new tyres (£70) and new brake pads and discs ( can't face a...
