Thanks Bridgewood,

Just spoken to my IP, advised to obtain 3 valuations and send them in, creditors will then be contacted to see if a remortgage is a viable proposition. Thats all my IP would say at this stage.

Updates will follow guys....

Thank you both for your valued advice, you are correct when you say it is the most stressful time of an IVA but as you say, may not be as bad as I imagine it to be due to the current economic climate.

I will keep you posted as to my progress.

Thanks again...

No problem, but even so, I would'nt be offering any more than you were going to pay anyway over the remaining term of your agreement. Good luck with it all tho'. :-)

Hi, correct me if I'm wrong but if you continued to pay £352 per month for the next 20 months to the end of your agreement you would pay £7,040. Why would you be offering 10k as F&F ? I'm sure your good self or a forum expert will put me right if I am making wrong assumptions here !!

I was under the impression that the very maximum term for an IVA was 5yrs but could be extended to 6yrs if that provision was set out in the contract at the time of inception. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Thanks for your best wishes. I know that the word "reasonable" can be interpreted in so many ways but in my case I owe around £7,500 but also have an equity release clause within my IVA at the end of year 4 set at £14,800. I have already approached lenders to see if I can borrow the equity release a...
