Wow, this topic has generated quite a bit of interest, not suprising I suppose, as a budget affects everyone. Now it's been made public, from a personal point of view, not too bad for us. I am so glad to see they are scrapping Child Tax Credit for households earning over 40k and not 30k (huge amount...

Yes, we will have to wait and see but it isn't looking promising is it?
I would imagine there will be a lot of busier IPs in the next few weeks and a lot of creditors variations meetings too.
Fingers crossed if you are affected,

Hi all, haven't been on for a while as all quiet on the Western front, now in month 4 of IVA and so far ok, just! However, I wanted to ask about tomorrow's Budget. It has been widely trailed that the Government is planning to remove Child Tax Credit from all households with a combined income of more...

Thanks Andy, will do. I will be speaking to my IP on Monday. It may be to do with two different depts at Payplan operating independently ( DMP dept and IPA dept )with little communication between them, which may mean we have to pay the money (or some of it?) back, or we may get to keep it. Will let ...

Hello all. We have been in an IVA with Payplan since 1st Feb this year. Prior to that we had been in a DMP with them, for quite a few months. We applied for the IVA and at the point of the first phone interview I asked if we should stop paying into the DMP. I was told that I should carry on with pay...

£400/month tax on a company car?? I think you had better check that out, it's wrong, wrong, wrong! I think you must have misunderstood somebody at some point. What is more realistic is that you will be paying tax on an additional £400/month = approx £80-00/month at basic rate. I have a company car t...

Thanks to all the well-wishers. We now know that we only had one vote against us out of 7 creditors. I had 100 %, my wife had 86.4%, so all went through quite smoothly. As for budgetting, we were in a DMP for 12 months prior to taking on an IVA, and the IVA payments are identical to the DMP payments...

Hi all, just to let you know that we have just had the phonecall to tell us that both of our interlocking proposals were accepted without modifications other than minor ones for the IP.
The fun starts here.
Roll on 1st Feb 2015!

Thanks all so far. I did tell my IP (PP) that I would be available at that time, I am the sort of person who tends to jump first then work out how to land, guess that's what got us into this mess in the first place ! I will be available to take the phonecall but can only do so at home, I couldn't gi...

Hi all. We have our creditors meeting tomorrow ( my wife and myself interlinked). The nerves are starting to kick in a bit but that's nothing new eh? The meeting is scheduled for 3.25pm. I can't take the phonecall at work, neither can my wife. I am sneaking out of work early under a pretext but need...
