Since my IVA, I've got married, changed my name and changed the name on my main bank account. I've now received a cheque in my old name as I didn't update my car insur...

Should defaults be marked as satisfied once an IVA has been completed? Am I able to force a lender to do this?

Thanks in anticipation.

Righty-o! I spoke with NPower this evening, attempting to change the tarrif as it would seem that we are on the elevated "Standard Rate". They advised that they would only change the tarrif if we set up a DD and the DD would have to be for £193 per month (some £40 higher than it was a few days ago!)...

Hi dawn.kg- It will depend on whether you have any financial links (associations) with your husband i.e. joint credit cards, mortgage, bank accounts etc. Even if you don't have any joint accounts, you could be linked by a credit search that has been carried out in joint names in the last 6 years. If...

Hello everyone- We're just in the initial stages of getting all our documents together for our IP. Because of our situation we're going to offer a lump sum in full and final settlement as we have insufficient income for a regular contribution IVA. I was wondering the following. At work, i'm contract...

Well, after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with NPower it would seem that the outstanding balance is quite a lot higher than previously thought and is in fact £524! As they apparently seem to think our monthly spend is £153 per month (Gas and Elec)which for 1970s semi with 2 people in seems excessive, ...

Hello all, I’ve received a letter from NPower with whom we have our electricity and gas on a discounted dual fuel tariff. We have an outstanding debt of £169 which was built up whilst we were trying to sort out a final bill for our former tenants (we were out of the country for 8 months last year). ...
