Are you still thinking of proposing an IVA Ben?
Well, no - but only because I'm still unemployed [:(] and so I can't do an IVA. But as soon as I get fixed up I will certainly contact you.

I'm not 100% sure, but when you log on to comparison websites (eg meercat)and give your contact details, isn't that effectively giving your permission to be contacted? They then sell the lists to whoever wants to buy them, and hence they have your "permission" to be contacted. And that's how those w...

Just to confirm that the paying of the first contribution prior to the creditors meeting is completely different to an "up front fee".
Well I know that now! And I wish I'd spoken to you a few months ago! [:(]

Was the call centre based in the UK? If so, I was under the impression that they couldn't cold call from here. Yes, Glasgow. But from what I've been able to dig up, they can skirt around the rules because the initial cold call is based on the fact that you've logged on to websites like compare-the-...

Make sure whichever company you choose do not charge for advice or have up front fees. Any of the firms on this forum will speak to you and advise of all your options without obligation or cost. Good luck with your proposal. Yes definitely avoid companies that charge an upfront fee. I didn't realis...

I've answered this on your other post. How did you find this company in the first place as a matter of interest? Basically it was a cold call from their BackToBlack call centre. Some friends of mine are in a bigger financial mess than me and they got cold called. They mentioned it to me because the...

If this is actually happening out there - and I am not doubting you I am simply horrified as an IP to learn that this may be happening - then I think a report to the Office of Fair Trading might be in order. The OFT are very interested in this type of process at the moment, and I feel sure would be...

I got stung by a company called Creditfix a few months ago. Basically I had £750 (3 lots of £250) taken out of my bank account even though I contacted them the next day after their salesman called round, and I let them know I'd lost my job and therefore couldn't go ahead with an IVA. I'm still waiti...

I just feel that they gave me this low figure so I would go with their company and now they are telling me what they should have told me at the beginning. Hello! I am in the process of getting an IVA with Creditfix LTD. They originally told me that my monthly repayment would be £180 per month but a...

Hi I do not like the idea of companies cold calling and suggesting IVAs,this is the type of selling that the industry needs to get away from. On their website they stste "The principals in Creditfix have over 50 years combined experience in Financial Services, Consumer Lending and Credit Management...
