Thanks for the excellent advice. Maybe I should have used this website more during my time and not dealt with it all on my own. I really appreciate the help and no matter what happens, the end is definitely in sight.

Thanks for the excellent advice, I guess the worst they can do is say no. I would pay up to July plus the 2250 and hope that it is enough. One final question, what would happen with my current claims for PPI refunds? I am not looking to gain anything for myself from this process and am happy for it ...

Hi, I have 9 more months left of my IVA. This equates to about £3600. I am close to the end but every month is a struggle. Last week, I was knocked of my cycle by a car and as a result am getting £2250 for compensation. I was hoping to offer this as a final settlement for the IVA but when speaking t...

Okay, some better news. I had a call from Payplan today. They accepted my alterations to the I&E, just wanting me to provide proof of travel expenses. They also said they will allow me to make a reduced payment in February to cover some money I owed my dad for bailing me during last year. All in all...

I sent the email to Payplan regarding my IVA and included a new I&E on Tuesday and still have not had a response, how long should I leave it before hassling them again? The lack of response is pushing me more and more into looking at BR but I want them to give me something that will stop me doing so...

Hi Melanie, Thanks for your post, it is reassuring to have posts from an IP's prospective but you do seem to be a lot more balanced than other companies, obviously in my experience Payplan. Do you feel that you are constantly battling the case for IVA? I currently can only see a benefit for IVA if y...

Thankyou all for the advice. The frustration for me is that I am not and have never used excuses for the mess I got myself in. I also have always tried to be honest and never looked to work the system, I am just trying to get out of the mess the best way possible while trying to maintain my life wit...

I looked through my email today and found my original I&E that I submitted to Payplan, it is totally different to the one that they submitted to the creditors. I accepted it because of the desperation to change my situation. I just wish I had seeked more advice before accepting the IVA. I was not in...

Well I spoke to Payplan today, I am not sure what I was so scared of. The girl seemed helpful and understanding. She did say that agreeing an unrealistic I&E was my big mistake when agreeing the IVA. They said that it is unlikely to get an increase without extending it over a longer period which I w...

Hi Melanie, Thanks for terrific advice. My rent of 750 is for a 3 bedroom house which I originally rented because it is a great price for that and I know the owner so there were no big fee's when I took it out it was me and I had a friend living with me who was giving me £300 but he moved out becaus...

Thanks for your help. I will contact Payplan tomorrow. By their calculations I would have to pay in excess of £600 per month which I just cannot afford. The amount I am paying is exactly what I can pay and I am worried that if they ask for more then bankruptcy is my only option.

I have been in my IVA for one year now and have a review due very soon. The IVA has not gone as smoothly as I hoped due to niavity on my part. When I took the IVA out my I&E was one that was being used when I was in a DMP, it was ambitious to say the least because I wanted to show that I was trying ...
