Day off work today and have just spoken to the Halifax who have offered us several options with reference to a new fixed rate. We have decided to plump for 4.79% fixed for five years with no fee. To be honest I nearly bit his hand off when he offered us this deal, as the three year fixed deal was at...

Hi First of all apologies for not posting on here for a while, although I have found the forum to be a great source of information since our Iva was accepted in May. To date the Iva is running very smoothly, and I can honestly say, that nervously making that first phone call, at the beginning of the...

The very best of luck for the 25th.
I’m sure you will be celebrating come the 25th and you will be able to enjoy the world cup with a couple of drinks, instead of it being a nice distraction.

I agree Sky seem very reluctant to give deals to long term customers, as a loyal customer for many years they did not bat an eyelid when I informed them that I was taking my custom elsewhere. I also tried quite a few times over the years to get the deals that they were offering to new customers but ...

I was a sky customer for eighteen years and changed to Virgin Media ten months ago. The main reason for changing was due to having terrible problems with our broadband connection, so the only alternative was to go for Virgin’s fibre optic option. It also worked out quite a bit cheaper to have TV, ph...

We have had our Nat West Step account up and running for several months now, and are very happy with it. The online banking facility is very good as transactions are shown instantly, which makes keeping track of your finances fairly easy. You also get a free card reader which adds an extra level of s...

Thanks for the quick response.
I will get my wife to ring them as it is her account, and let them know the situation.
I have not received the Chairman’s Report as of yet, but will offer to scan/email or post this to them when I have it.

After having our Iva’s accepted last week, my wife has received a letter from Viking collections today stating that her Debenhams/Santander account has been passed on to them. They are requesting payment of the full amount within 7 days. There is a phone number on there for my wife to ring, but was ...

There were a few modifications, but they were concerning the fees and one concerning board and lodge for our children, this will come into effect when they get older and are in a position to contribute.
Apart from that they were accepted as per proposal.

To say that we are both hoping for a positive outcome from our meeting of creditors would be an understatement. After taking our heads out of the sand and deciding to tackle our debt problem, we have b...
