My husband and I have recent;y split. I can afford to pay the mortgage, bills etc from my own salary but this would leave a far reduced payment into the IVA than I was previously making. Will this cause any issues? I can't sell the house as it's in negative equity and I have no other assets. I have ...

Melanie, all I can say is I wish I'd discovered this site earlier, I would have opted to go with you! My iva wasn't straightforward but this issue has just been left hanging. I'm not impressed!

I really wasn't sure what to expect. How would you have dealt with this for your clients?
Thanks Jazz

Thanks Melanie. They are aware of it, just no-one advised me how to deal with it. I didn't realise that lenders would entertain extending out the agreement. I suppose I have to advise them of my circumstances? What if they decline? Thanks

Thanks Melanie, I have just sent a very long email to payplan. I will keep you all posted of the outcome, although not expecting a quick response due to the amount of questions I have asked.

No offence taken. My question is - are they legally entitled to? If not, I will fight the issue

I cant see payplan not pushing to extend this IVA if the payments are going to reduce though. An extra 12 months of payments is an extra 12 months of fees for payplan. Another case of people accepting allowances that dont cover the real costs. I know that emergencies occur that are unexpected but p...

Hi, have been in IVA for 11 months now and struggling with payments. If a guaranteed dividend is not mentioned in the chairman's report does that mean it cannot be imposed?

Andy, there is no reference to it. Would it definitely have to be stated there?

Thanks for your support. I have been following the forum for months now, it is such a great support network. We have 2 mots to go through, road tax, 2 new tyres, hotwatertank repair etc, etc. I'll call them Monday, but I feel that they are more interested in the creditors than me I'm afraid

I currently pay £815 pm. When I completed a new I&E online via payplan it calculated my surplus income as around £650. So far I've sold just about anything of value to get by including my engagement ring but I'm getting stressed with the whole thing as I don't want it to fail!! I won't be able to ma...
