So sorry for your loss. As other members have said, take time to deal with this. The creditors should be be helpful, at this time

I know phoning the police is scary as I'm sure you're afraid of what he'll do if you call them. They have much better rules/laws now. They will make sure you are safe before he is released. Please seek help

Can't you stay with your parents. Ring police when you are there and safe. Trust me, there are ways of getting out of a violent relationship. Forget the debt for now, just try and find a refuge, if you can't stay with family or friends. You don't have to live like this, trust me!! Please call someon...

Totally agree, you need to get out of your relationship. Do you have someone you could stay with?

I agree with ginger. You don't have to stay in a violent relationship. You could ring Samaritans, or, the police. Why do you feel you have to stay in relationship? I was with someone violent but I did get out. I did an IVA and myself and my daughter are now safe and, hopefully, financially secure. P...

I've just had completion certificate from Grant Thornton. I too was told six months. I emailed and, as there had been a delay since full and final settlement as I was with Blair Endersby before they were taken over by Grant Thornton, I asked if six months was the average time. I then received certif...

I just want to say a big thank you to Grant Thornton (my full and final settlement got caught up in the take over of Blair Endersby - who I had my IVA with). Although there was a delay, the Grant Thornton team have always been professional and, once they had taken over, very efficient. I would recom...

Thanks Jan, I'm going to. I was just a little upset by Melanie's comment. I have always been told that my offer was reaslly great and company could see no way creditors would say no as it was a great offer. Have to wait and see. We've emailed off forum so you know the situation. They are lucky to ha...

The company told me when I thought I would only have £8000 that it was a great full and final Melanie. It's more the way I've been given different answers by different people and in the early stages when mum was ill my account manager gave me a payment break but when I asked for it in writing the IP...

Hi Kallis and everyone. Thanks for replies. It is BE (now GT which I only found out when they answered. I asked him if I had got through to BE and he said BE were now GT and that might have delayed things. Kallis, I know you are great on this forum (and for me personally, thanks). BE were terrible w...

I have been in an iva for nearly two years with payments up to date. I had iva amended quite early into it as my mum got sick just weeks after it was agreed. It was posting on the forum that helped. The company would not listen to me. They have been great since, until January. My mum passed away at ...
