I should be getting close to respectability. I completed my IVA last October as you all know, and had got all my debts marked as satisfied. But then, a company called Arrow Global, who have obviously bought a debt off one of my former mail order creditors, have actually had the gall to register the ...

I now have all the defaulted accounts marked as satisfied and with the correct default date.
AND I have my Vanquis Visa (arrived today), with a £250 credit limit to start with. I promptly ordered Mothering Sunday flowers on it,and will pay the bill off when the statement comes.

Extra! Extra! NatWest caved in immediately on receipt of the letter I wrote in accordance with the template supplied by TheMatrix and have amended the default date with both Equifax and Experian. Credit Account Management have marked their debt as satisfied. Barclays aka Clydesdale are marked as sat...

On the subject of the Vanquis card, I just took this from a review on the net;- "and although it said it would give you an instant desicion, it came back and said they would get back to me. I just assumed that I wasn't getting 1, and felt a bit embarrasssed as I thought Vanquis basically accepted an...

Your completion date is the date on the COC under the IP's signature. How a potential lender assesses your score is something of a mystery. I have a perfectly maintained Co-op bank account, mobile phone and landline contract, but my lack of current credit was a factor for Ford Credit declining me. U...

Hi Lusso1979, wow you are having a lot more trouble even than I am. You need to be a bit like a dripping tap with your creditors and keep hounding them. I have actually found that Credit Expert have been quite helpful and between us we have managed to make some of the creditors mark the entries as s...

I have a cousin who is willing to give me a £2000 deposit, note as a gift. So, what I plan to do over the next few months while those ole' defaults are dropping off is to save and stoke up my bank account to show that I can afford the payments (I think Duncton ask for bank statements) and then appro...

I think that there is a pretty clear signal that I would be far better really, if I am rejected, waiting until I have sorted all the defaults out before I go for the big one, the car loan. According to the little tool on the Experian website, if I do things like repay all my payments on time, especi...

Oh, the Vanquis search IS showing on my credit report now. I still don't know what to think. Here is this from their FAQ "How long will it take to get a decision? If you apply online you should hear from us in 10 -14 days." I am a bit worried because on the application from you had to put the time a...

I just checked my Credit Expert report. They haven't even put the search through yet, that is possibly why they couldn't give the decision. Their offices are actually closed now for the weekend. On the plus side, I notice that Clydesdale's two entries are now marked as satisfied. Now I just have to ...
