Thank you all. Sitting here on Michael's latest advice partaking of a 'cold one'. Dogs, and ferrets, are all well Mel. Merlin lost another of his cat's lives tonight when he chased a rabbit onto the road and a speeding car misssed him by the length of his whiskers. It has been a journey and a half f...

As scheduled, my BR court appearence was today. I arrived at 11:30 to sit in a busy corridor alongside a half a dozen other fellow petitioners (not sure if that's a word). Some looked around nervously and a couple laughed and joked. I spoke in hushed tones to a guy who sat next to me sighing and bre...

Hi C-B. It took me 10 months to come to my decision, although one could argue that is too long and some may not have the same amount of time afforded to me. My circumstances were always changing and I found it very difficult to understand my position, never mind try and explain it to others. Wheneve...

Thankyou all. Dogs are great thanks Jan, x. Ava (dobe) costing a fortune at vets with all sorts of neurological problems (thank goodness for insurance). Male dobe barking at everything that moves and some things that don't. Whippets tearing around as usual and ferrets looking forward to working this...

I haven't posted in a while as I have been busy trying to collect myself together and save the money to petition myself for bankruptcy. Since my attempt at DMP was dead before it set sail and my IVA proposal didn't really have any wings, BR was my only remaining viable option. I read and read some m...

I was with Argos (platinum cover) for my dogs. They have always paid us immediately or negotiated to pay the vet direct. I know of a lot of other people who are also pleased with them. However, needs must and I recently changed to Direct Line to make some savings, and I have yet to try their service.

I'm filling out my BR petition forms, and at the back of my mind I have this niggling worry: My Armed Forces pension comes in at £450/month net. It is included as an income in my I&E, which still didn't leave me enough to attempt a viable IVA proposal. I have read that pensions need to be surrendere...

Thank you all so kindly. I haven't jumped off the pier just yet, although with this heat I've been sorely tempted. I actually prefer to post in here. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to come into the open about my finances. When I finally did, this forum offered me non-judgemental support ...

Thanks all M, I draw no greater comfort than the fact that you and Michael are willing to continue to offer guidance and advice even though we are no longer, or never have been paying customers. That, to me says everything about what type of people you are. Kindness, patience and respect is what mat...

Thank you Michael and Tina. Michael, you were a great help to my estranged wife and she and I are indebted to you. Tina, you were my first contact when I decided to do something about my dilemma. The team at MG's are inspirational and gave me hope and a guiding light when it felt there was none. The...

Hi, I haven't posted too often but I have lurked and made a few social posts. I was to go through my proposal this week and then look towards my creditors meeting. Unfortunately, things didn't quite work out as I have split from my wife, my twenty something (not twenty of them LOL) kids decided to r...

I've just read this M, and I know how difficult a decision that is. It really feels the lonliest time, but it's also the most loving and kindest thing that one can do under circumstances. I love people, but I love my dogs in a completely different way. I love people with my heart, I love my dogs wit...
