My IVA finished as completed in October 2013. Would I still be eligible to claim for a PPI refund from Northern Rock even if it formed part of my IVA.
I don't want to start the process if it will cause issues.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Kallis. I've just rang the one which related to my old Northern Rock loan and they tell me that it goes on the default date, which is 16 June 2010, not the date of my insolvency. They advised me it should drop off my credit record after the 16 June and will no longer be visible. I guess this ...

Six years ago today I went on the insolvency register as my IVA was approved. I completed in Oct 2013 and was issued my Completion Certificate. I was advised that after 6 years the defaulted accounts should fall off as they were completed. I've checked my report today, although my score is now 791 -...

Hi folks It's been a long time since I last posted on here and there's been many changes in my life since. I completed my IVA early back in 2013 and received my completion certificate in Oct 2013. However I'm receiving statements from Max Recovery for HSBC loan and Mbna credit card. These were inclu...

Hi Foggy, well if that's what creditors will expect then there isn't any point in arranging a full and final offer as it isn't going to solve anything. We are still going to be paying into the IVA. The mortgage outstanding is £167k and there are no secured loans. We're on interest only and have been...

Before I approach my IP, I wonder if anyone could give me a little advice please? My circumstances have changed in the last month where I was made redundant from a job that I had only been eight weeks into. Because I had not been there long enough I only received two weeks pay plus holiday pay. I ha...

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments. From what I can gather so far the new company are quite relaxed and laid and have not mentioned anything about insolvency, IVA, bankruptcy etc. So fingers crossed I will not encounter any problems. Also, thanks for the advice regarding credit checks, authori...

I am starting a new job early March. My pay is increasing initially by £4000 per year but after six months my pay is being reviewed again, depending on performance. I am initially starting as Financial Controller (taking over the current Finance Director as they are leaving) and I am being told by m...

Sounds like we are all having a costly January. Well I have to have my tooth extracted on Friday as cannot afford to have a crown fitted. It is £202 for a crown and £48 for the tooth to be extracted. Maybe one day I will have a false tooth fitted, when I can afford it. Also my birthday party was can...

Can someone please clarify for me the following regarding PPI? I keep reading differing answers which is making a little confused if honest. 1. Is it compulsory that we make a claim for PPI? 2. If we do claim, do we have to pay all of it over to the IVA company? 3. What happens if the PPI money come...

It is hard sometimes to stay positive but let's be honest, theres no point in getting upset and depressed about it. I try and look to the future at every opportunity as I know things can only get better.
Onwards and upwards!
