Hi BOL, Am not listed as owner of the house, its a long story, to cut it short, Mam passed away a year ago to the day on Friday of this week. She owned the house which I have always lived in with sister (who is severely disabled) and an older brother who has been a carer for Mam and Sister for many ...

Thanks Lesley, must admit it did throw me a bit, as was stated in the communication, "an extra six months may be allowed for administration"? Do not know if I am being a bit paranoid at the minute as the letter for the variation stated the date was the 5th June (yesterday, a bank holiday) and I sat ...

Apologies to IVA company if I am misconstruing, but I have recently had a variation meeting and have been informed I am required to pay an extra 12 month into an IVA (even though the house which I live in with family is not mine, hey ho) this I have agreed to, however I have also been informed I may...

I have never gotten to speak to mine, always spoken to one of the caseworkers, some better than others to be honest but do not have too much to complain about, apart from on one occasion, however if you specifically ask to speak to your IP you should have that right to do so. Seems Mel is the shinin...

Echo completely what Andy has said. IVA firms should be dealing with clients problems a lot more pro-actively without people with issues needing to air the laundry in public forums, as much as this public forum is much appreciated by all!

Thank you Olivia (and Mel) I will be a bit more comfortable speaking to someone at McD in the future, it was not Mr Peoples who I spoke to Mel but another very nice chap who seemed to understand my situation much better than it had been previously. Hopefully I will not have any other issues or probl...

Following on from my previous post, I would like to give credit where it is due and having spoke to a lovely gentleman from McD I feel much happier with my circumstances and the little hiccups which seemed to have occurred than I have done in some time.

Many thanks for your help MacCambridge Duffy.

Thank you all for your replies, particularly those who represent McD on here, I will contact Roisin on Monday, as I said I am not having a dig at the team there as they have always been very efficient in the past and I do not know where I would be without their help, it is probably me just taking th...

Thank you for that Zeohane, I am not being critical of them as they have always been very good, maybe I have just been unlucky with certain things recently.

Hello all Just a general query really, but has anyone who is with McD noticed any change in customer service et al recently or I am just being paranoid? The reason for asking is that I received my annual review forms in March and duly filled them in and sent them off with pay slips, P60 and I&E form...

This may seem a simple solution (from a simple person) but if bank's and building societies are admitting they mis-sold a lot PPI which netted them £bn's of pounds more or less illegally, why can't they calculate the PPI payments of those who are in IVA's (or who have recently completed) and deduct ...

Congrats Steev0 on the acceptance of your IVA and also choosing probably the best IP out there. If only we all could have known about Melanie Giles and her team before beginning our journey. All the best for the future.

As one of the people asking the question, an IVA is just that, an Individual voluntary arrangement, everyones circumstances differ to some degree so what may be right for some will not be for others.
