Hi all thanks for the kind replies. Thanks again Melanie, I remember you saying the same things too us when we talked about IVA/BR. I was defiantly at my lowest ebb that day, been on the up ever since! Imhotep the haggling was over the running costs for my wife’s car. One company wanted £10 off our ...

My wife and I are applying for a linked (joint IVA). My wife has a credit card debt with Egg and out of all our debts it is the smallest. Egg calls my wife at least 3 times a day! First they will ring her mobile then they will call our home (so at least 6 times a day). They just repeat the same old ...

I think really this was the first time a banks mask has slipped. Barclaycard is a classic got a letter from them acknowledging my letter telling them of my IVA. 3 days later they increased my limit by £3500 without asking. I wonder how I got into so much trouble in the first place [;)]

Hi I am in the process of setting up a joint (linked) IVA with my wife. We are close to the final proposal (JonesGiles) and all seems good. Last night had a call from NatWest who we have a loan with. Started out fine asking why I had stopped the DD on the loan. I explained that we had written to the...

Just an update on my situation with the Co Op. I rang the bank on Tuesday and asked if I had been given the cashminder account yet. I was told that there was still a referral showing on the system and they were not authorised to give me an explanation of why but was assured that it "should be ok". J...

Hi My wife and I are going through the process of setting up an IVA. Talking last night has brought up a question. If everything goes really wrong and Bankruptcy is the only option (not that we think it will get to that) what is our position on a secured loan we have against our house? Basically whe...

I need a simple account to hold a float from my company for expenses. They are dragging there feet on a company credit card and don’t want to pay for a pre paid credit card. I thought the simplest thing to do is have the cashminder account and my employer can just BACS into it and has nothing to do ...

Hi I am in the process of setting up an IVA and taking advice from the forum set up a standard current account with the Co-Op about a month ago (and very happy I am with it!) This morning I tried to open a cashminder account and have been “referred” after they ran a credit check. Obviously the lette...
