I have just managed to get through to someone that can actually talk about my IVA (although I did have to call myself as the call back I requested never came) It may be worth giving them a call now David! As it turns out my completion paperwork has been passed onto the completions manager for final ...

This doesn't surprise me. I was formerly with Blair Endersby and my account was moved to GT when they took over. I applied to finish my IVA early and had a settlement figure agreed (whilst still with BE) in february last year. I then paid the money over in March. It was around then that GT took the ...

I would have thought that you could argue that the expenses that come when moving house arent catered for in your I&E statement and are an additional Forced expense and therefore you should be able to keep the additional money given to you for this. The LSSA that your OH gets for being away would pr...

After sending the paperwork through to GT they confirmed that there shouldn't be a marker on the car and they would speak to Santander and ask them to remove it. Whilst I was waiting for GT to respond I did a bit of digging around on some other websites and found that this issue is quite common. I e...

I'm sorry for dragging this one up again, but if GT do eventually get someone on here to represent them I think they will benefit from seeing how many people are actually unhappy about the service they are providing. I emailed them about an issue I have with my vehicle last week and also some genera...

Yes the agreement was taken out through the garage where I bought the car, it was the iva company that said that the loan was unsecured.

Surely even if the account is registered in default this should not affect the status of the vehicle and allow me to sell it. I suppose I will have to wait until I can speak to GT (closed at the weekend when most of are off work) and see what they say, failing that would anyone think it worth while ...

Yes the debt was included in the iva, Santander have received payments since the iva began. My thinking is that if this is an unsecured loan how can they have a hold on the car, it sort of a contradiction. They will get the settlement once GT sort themselves out but I don't think that they should ha...

Hi all, I had an early settlement proposal accepted back in feb this year and paid the money required straight away, I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks for things to be sorted, my iva then got transferred by be to gt and can not get an answer from them as to when the iva will finish. Other than...

Hi all, well it has now been a full 12 months since I sent my offer of full and final settlement in to BE, to be fair to them it did get better once I managed to speak to someone in the know(ish). I finally managed to get the meeting scheduled for Dec last year, after more postponements it finally t...

I suppose at the end of the day you have to work out whether it would be in your interest to take in a lodger, after all theres no point in giving up your space and freedom if you aren't going to get any financial gain. That is unless you dont dseclare it in your I&E. I would imagine that there are ...

Sorry to hijack your post yorkcity

Michael,

Would you advise that I do something similar, as I am also waiting for a meeting for F&F and would no longer be able to afford the payments should it not be accepted, like you say the IVA is going to fail if the offer is rejected anyway.

Thanks.

I would certainly start drafting one up, I couldnt say for certain that the same process would need to be followed but I think it would be similar. I included a copy of my current I&E in order for them to compare easily. I would also get your dad to confirm that he would be willing to lend you the m...
