Thanks for your reply,I was a bit reluctant to hassle him yet as this isn't likely to happen until late in the year or maybe in to next year.
However I emailed and received a reply almost immediately. Can't praise him highly enough.

Hi I successfully settled my IVA early in 2010. My credit report is up to date and all the nasties should drop off on 02/11/2012. At that time my wife and I will be looking to move house. I really hope so, as i plan to buy somewhere a few years after my iva, i dread to think i wouldn't be able to get a mortgage, i know i will need a big deposit thats why i plan to continue saving the same amount i put into my iva for a few years after.
