We have 3 more payments and then we are done, 6 long years but I can't believe we can see light at the end of the tunnel. Don't know about you but we have learned so much, and are way much more disciplined now - tough lesson to learn but I think we learned it!

Surely this is on the understanding that your mortgage lender will give you extra funds? We have just been through the same thing, as expected, and our mortgage lender wouldn't give us extra funds so our option was to find £36,000 from a third party or pay a further 12 months payments. I have had internet continuously since going into IVA and upgraded it too. Also upgraded mobile a couple of times, granted with the same company I have been with for the past 10 years. Hope you get it sorted.

Just to update, OH telephoned our IP this morning and explained our situation. She was brilliant and has amended our new repayment date to 01 October. Phew, such a relief.

Sorry if this is a daft question, but here goes anyway. We are still paying a mortgage and various other stuff on a monthly contract (mobiles, car insurance, car breakdown etc), does this not help with you credit score?

Well done to you on reaching your final payment date. Have to say though, the very last thing I will be looking to sign up to as and when our IVA is complete is a credit card. Completely banned in my house from the date of our IVA acceptance. Each to their own I suppose.
