My parents have bought us tickets to go to Canada to visit my cousin. They know we are in the IVA and cannot afford to go on holiday and this is their treat to us. We are from the UK but are travelling from Dublin to Newfoundland and then travelling up to Nova Scotia. I am concerned that the Canadia...

I have been told i might be getting a small tax rebate, less than £100. Is this looked upon as a windfall which i can keep?

I don't want to get excited about this until i know.

Thanks in advance x

Hi

I am only new to this as out iva was approved just two weeks ago.

When we phoned the day before they were able to tell us that some of the creditors had already voted.

They were waiting for votes from others.

Hope this helps.

I knew i was really a mum when my daughter threw up on me and i was upset that she had gotten messy and never even noticed that i was too! As long as she was well and pretty was all that mattered.

I love being a mummy!

I am only at the start of my IVA and what i miss is the security of it. I am just starting to getting used to paying cash for things and for using my debit card. I look at the cash daily, check what is in and what has to come out. At the moment as we are only starting and we are getting used to this...

Well i was really worried about how it would affect my job so i phoned and spoke to the head of HR anonymously. I told her that we were considering an IVA and asked how the company looks at this and if it would make a difference to my job. I was really shocked at her reaction. The first thing that s...

Sorry Nicola but the salaries are def lower. Which they should not be as the house prices and living cost are just as high as in the rest of the uk.

It is really a massive problem in NI.

The cost of living and the house prices used to be so much less but not anymore.

MBNA was one of my husbands main creditors and they didn't even vote! So they are bound by our IVA.

Both hubby and i had massive panics. But we sat down, read it all through and then phoned the ip for clarification and felt a...
