Payplan Melanie - after my review on Thurs i was told if a revised proposal was put forward i must expect 1-2 yr extension, taking the IVA to 8 yrs, and it would be unlikely that it would be put forward if i wasnt prepared to agree to this. Our surplus has halved over the last year so our creditors ...

Unfortunately we had NR as our major creditor, disaster, they are a nightmare, they wouldn't accept our proposal unless we increased our payments significantly and added an extra year on, taking it 6 yrs. We stupidly agrred to this a year ago, and are now in the position of going bankrupt as we just...

Thanks for your replies. I was told without an extension they would not put the proposal forward as it would most definitely be rejected. I think we are resigned now to bankruptcy.
Thanks again.

I've just had my 1st year telephone review. We have struggled for some months now and our I&E shows our surplus money each month is half of our current IVA payment. The lady i spoke to said if a variation meeting was the way forward we would most definitely have to extend the IVA by possibly 2 yrs, ...

I'm nearly a year into our IVA, my husbands self-employed business isn't doing well, to be honest we've really struggled with the payments since the IVA started, Norther Rock's fault who said my husband could afford more! After serious thought for the last week we are now thinking of bankruptcy and ...

Hi Pandy, i know exactly what you mean! We've always had holidays, mind i think i've only ever paid cash for 1, they were always just put on the credit card. It took me a good few months to get used to no credit, it was such a painful learning curve. Its just so hard trying to explain to children wh...

Thanks Melanie - i only wish we had gone with your company!! In the proposal it says that only yr 1 is included in the IVA, no mention of the next 5yrs. Apologies if this appears twice, not sure where the first went!! My husband's tax was included in the IVA for year 1 when it was approved last year (he's self-empl).
