Hi Bob Your post generated anger here but also a fair measure of curiousity so I have a question for you. If your Training Centre would have been allowed to continue trading albeit subject to administration, could you have recovered your financial position in short to medium term ie 3 to 5 years? Re...

Why not use the mortgage increase calculator on this site. You put in the amount of the mortgage required, the interest rate and a fictitious figure for what you pay now and hey presto, it will give you the repayment figure per month. If you go to home (iva.co.uk) and look through the articles you w...

Hiya, welcome to the forum. Can you give some more details such as who are your creditors, how much do you owe against each one and what is the sum you could afford to pay into an IVA each month?

Lisa, I have just read most of your posts again and I have a question. How much of the 19500 debt (albeit increasing) is actually in your name? You worked out you could give 50p/£ after 6500 IP fees. If you went bankrupt but your husband didn't would you be able afford the remaining debts. In the ma...

Jane, you are doing it again. Looking for flaws in all the advice. I also saw an entry like this (thought it was you under different name to be honest) on the debt forum and the advice from all the experts there was precisely the same as on here. Did this particular advice come from an expert? Where...

If you look on the money expert site they will show a list of basic bank accounts and what facilities they give. I believe NatWest step comes with a Maestro card and have heard good things about Nationwide as well.

Have a look on the money expert site. It does a list of basic bank accounts which shows exactly what facilities each account comes with. I know NatWest do a basic step account which comes with a Maestro card and I believe Nationwide and Coop do a basic account with an Electron card and internet bank...

Credit ratings are individual and should not affect anyone else in the household. I did read something about a credit rating of father and son somehow getting merged but I believe they had the same surname and initials. Obviously, if that happened, you can contact the companies concerned and point o...

Really sorry to hear that, must feel like someone has knocked the stuffing out of you. First of all, tonight is too late to do anything about it as is the rest of the weekend so enjoy the sunshine, go for a picnic in the park or any other distraction. Then, on Monday get in touch with your IP, find ...

Hi again 43h. Do you work in the Public Sector by any chance? Just if that is the case the half pay you are referring to is in addition to SMP. I had my children when I worked for Local Government and found that I lost less than 200 net even on half pay.

I would contact you IP again, make it clear you cannot make the agreed payments during this period and ask for a payment holiday with the missed payments added on at the end. It would be a shame to fail an iva purely by being unrealistic
