I've just been doing my annual review and worked out my surplus is now only £119 :( We were paying £200 a month which we had reduced by 15% to £170 when I went on maternity leave. Now I'm worried that we will fail the IVA because my surplus has dropped so low. Is there a minimum payment that can be ...

I am Public Service, Brightside, and my progression has been halted under guise of the pay freeze, which lost me a £7k rise this year. The pay progression for teachers isn't quite that dramatic! I'm glad we haven't lost it though or we may really have struggled. It must be really gutting to miss ou...

I think Ruth is referring to an incremental progression, rather than a cost of living increase Mel. It is true that there is a pay freeze for teachers at the moment, but that does not stop you rising up the payscale each September which means an increase in salary. Mel is correct though... I have f...

We are at the same stage too [:)] I think we have managed really well in the last few months because a lot of pressure has been lifted. Before the IVA we were struggling on a really low budget for food and absolutely no luxuries. Now we can buy a little extra food, and if we are sensible, still have...

Hi Chelle Just heard today that my creditors meeting is 7th Sept. I haven't made any payments since the middle of June so I am really relieved to finally have a date to tell them all. Most creditors have been really understanding, but it hasn't stopped a million phone calls and letters from coming i...

I have my telephone meeting on Monday, after which the paperwork should be drawn up and sent out for me to sign and send back. After that I believe it is submitted to the creditors and after 15 days the meeting is held to decide if it's a yay or nay. My question is this..is it 15 working days or 15 ...

I have applied for a PayPal card, and when it arrived today it was in the same envelope (same return address) as my Tesco credit card who are one of my creditors. Does anyone know if they are linked? I daren't put money on it now in case it is taken by Tesco against my credit card debt!

Thanks

I sent out the letters that Melanie gave us on Friday. MBNA have already replied in writing and I have had constant phonecalls from Tesco all day today! Trying to keep smiling but it's all a bit scary at the moment! I have sent all the paperwork required, so hopefully I won't have to wait too long b...
