Sadly, we already have a 2nd loan on the house. By mentioning a secured loan, I meant later this year if possible to get enough together to offer 9/10 months of payments as a full and final lump sum, just to get rid of the arrangement, Payplan and all the restrictions as early as possible. Our 2nd l...

I'm hopeful that we won't be able to remortgage but I'd be willing to look at a secured loan to offer them a full & final to the equivalent of 12 months payments which is nowhere near 50K !
Just want rid of a Payplan now in the same way I wanted rid of the creditors.
What a self inflicted mess !

They accepted the two quick sale valuations from local estate agents. I've never seen Payplan act so quickly as they did when I sent in all the bits. They responded on the same day. Whenever I've needed help during the term it was always a wait of weeks. Sharks, that's all they are. I feel about as ...

Payplan have our mortgage redemption statement and 2 house valuations. In a letter from a case worker today, they want £50,000 over the next 17 years. My mortgage ends in 6 years and I'll be retired or in a box ! I thought the remortgage rules were that it wouldn't be more than 50% of IVA payment an...

Thanks Michael, I'm with Payplan and the caseworker was unsure. As usual, my request to speak to, or communicate directly with my IP produced the stock reply that the caseworker was authorised by the IP to speak on their behalf. I'm afraid I see my IP as the enemy now as he authorises staff members ...

Aren't Zoopla valuations considered to be way over the top ?

My chairman's report shows an actual figure to be released by means of remortgage or 3 rd party funding in month 54. Will that be the figure they will ask for now that 4 years have elapsed and 4 years of repayment mortgage payments have been made ?

I didn't think I'd ever make reference to my football preferences on here, but Flynn and another guy called Rankine were names that you dreaded if they became associated with your club when it was in financial difficulty.

Yorkshire BS couldn't get me out of the branch quick enough when I told them about the IVA proposal .

Honestly, their whole attitude changed and I was asked to leave ! !

I'm afraid that Natwest are right in saying that you will be unable to open a mainstream current account, offering credit by way of overdraft or not. Although you have been fortunate enough to satisfy your IVA early, the details of it remain on your credit file until six years have elapsed from the ...

Just as an aside. If the OP's proposal states £0.00 equity due to be released , why is this now being demanded ? I imagine that this is a protocol compliant proposal , hence the equity release clause. My proposal states £3,000 to be released from equity in month 54 but with house prices on the up an...

Within a week of me posting my paperwork back to my IVA firm, the calls and letters stopped and not had so much as a stray call or letter for over 4 years. Bliss. Dreading the phone ringing and dreading the postman arriving was very, very stressful. Now I open every letter and answer every phone cal...

Have a good dig around previous posts on the forum. Apart from having a firm that will help you reach a manageable figure that you can pay, it's also vitally important that you have access to the IP ( insolvency practitioner ) when you need to. Some of the bigger firms will simply not allow you to s...
