Payplan and speaking to the IP does not compute, I'm afraid. Case Officers..... Some good, some bad . I , through the expertise available on this excellent forum have more knowledge around IVAs than my current case officer. Favourite phrase at the moment is " it depends " I have had to resort to con...

I'm with Halifax and I was able to secure another fixed interest deal with them. I made sure they were aware of the IVA, which they were. I'd go back to Halifax and try again. Others on this forum have been successful with Halifax, although each case is treated on an individual basis I imagine. Good...

Emptypockets, I imagine Halifax were your mortgage providers when you entered into your IVA ? If they were, on approval of your IVA your IP would have informed them. I did the same as yourself with Halifax and I made sure they were aware of my IVA which they were. I negotiated a new rate so that I k...

I'm with Halifax and secured a new fixed rate during IVA.

Give them a ring. I found them friendly and professional.

Good luck.

I'm with Halifax and when my fixed rate was coming to an end I spent less than 10 minutes on the phone while they offered me a new fixed rate deal that took me beyond my anticipated IVA completion date. My mortgage payment stayed the same and gave me peace of mind. They are well aware of my IVA, as ...

Since being in my IVA, I've used Budget underwritten by Lloyd's Bank and then Swinton as a broker to get me the best deals over the last 2 years.
Always paid monthly and my IVA was never mentioned by me or them.
I've lived at my address for 17years and I'm on the voter's roll.

If it's a minor leak and you only have to top up once or twice a month, it may be a pinhole in a hose. When you get out of the car after driving, do you smell a sweet, burning smell fom the front of your car ? If so, that suggests the leak may be on the outside of the engine and the lealing coolant ...

If your MOT place does repairs too they should be able to narrow down your leak by pressurising your system and have a good snoop around to see where the leak is. It could be as simple as a wee split or pinhole in a hose or a clip needing tightening or replaced. It could be a ver cheap fix, but a pr...

Whilst I can't comment about your ability to remortgage, I found the Halifax very helpful in fixing me new 5 year fixed rate deal at the tail end of last year. As in your case, they are well aware of the IVA, but the new deal keeping my monthly payment exactly as it was, was sorted over the phone in...

I fully expected to be placed on SVR, due to the IVA. I pushed the guy on the phone about their knowledge of the IVA as I didn't want to be accused of any underhand tactics to get another fixed rate. He read all my IVA details from the screen and pointed out that my IP is duty bound to inform my mor...

My IVA began in Aug 2010. Halifax, my mortgage lender and one of my credit card creditors, were well aware of the IVA as my IP is legally bound to tell them. In Sept 2011, my 5 year fixed rate mortgage was up. I rang them, spoke about the IVA and me wanting another fixed rate, so that I knew where I...

Mitchymoo, I went into a Yorkshire branch during my proposal stage and when asked the reason for moving from my current bank, I honestly answered the girl. The interview took on a different, less welcoming tone and the result was refusal without explanation. I turned to the Co-Op over the phone, was...

Stewpots, I opened a basic Lloyds and Co-Op account and both have Visa debit cards. Both can be used for internet shopping, and normal chip n pin services such as INSIDE petrol stations.
