Hi All, Its been sometime since I have posted on here. Just wanted to share with you that I am out the other side of the IVA now and have had my certificate of completion (which took longer than the 4 weeks - but who am I to complain about that!) It wasn't easy and there were many tears along the wa...

Hi, After reading the above information I am somewhat confused about the fact that my student loans have been included in my IVA. They did object at my creditors meeting to the proposal but as they were the minority vote they have to abide by the IVA. The loans were taken out before 2004 so maybe th...

Hi go 4 broke,
Thank you for your response. I didn't even think anything of it until I started to read some of the posts on the forum. Being in an IVA makes you slightly paranoid about anything to do with money. You have put my mind at rest.
Cheers spull

My daughter has received a few hundreds pounds via a cheque written out to her personally from a relative's estate. I have paid the money into her account for which I am a signatory as she is under 16. I wanted to ask whether or not this money is safe i.e. I don't have to inform my IP as the cheque ...

Thank you Melanie. I have had a look back in my documents and all it says is what I have put in the quotation marks in the initial post. The total debt I owed was 30k so not sure if that bears any relevance? I have sent the mortgage quotes off to the IP so will wait and see if they accept the 6k I c...

Thank you for your comments,to be honest with you I think I have been somewhat naive over the whole process. The £11,500 was given to me by the individual I initially spoke to at the IP company as it is Loan to rate value of 85% on my property value - at no point did he ask how much I could borrow o...

Hi, Didn't know that this existed and am so happy to find I am not alone in this nightmare. I approached an IVA company last year due to my mounting debts and inability to sleep at night with the worry. The debts were accured through neccesity rather than extravagance. My IVA was agreed and the props...
