You wont know how you would react to recieving a large sum of money until it happens, I think people are fooling themselves on hear, money talks and you wouldn't give it up if you thought you could get away with it.......................be real people!

IVA accepted, first payment made today, 5 (6?) years seems a long time, but this was the only way I could repay my debts[:(]

First payment due by december 15th, I am concerned about the remortgage threat at the end of the term, will I have to pay back more that the 29p in the pound that has been agreed?

I have not yet signed up to an IVA, (meeting is scheduled for 1-00pm Monday) inheritance is tied up in a property which would have to be sold to be split 4 ways, the ammount I recieve is likely to be slightly more that the total I currently owe to creditors, but the sale could take?? who knows? IP is stating that I should continue with IVA on Monday, advice from MP on here is suggesting that I delay and consider my options regards impending inheritance or face losing it plus interest and charges???has anyone else had s similar experience and what was the outcome, PLEAS HELP![V]

My IVA has yet to be approved I owe about 42k. My father has recently passed away and left me 25% of the value of his home, when this is eventually sold it should realise about 55k, although I feel duty bound to share some of this with my younger sister who has been excluded from his will. i have contacted my IP, they are informing me that i should continue with my IVA scheduled to be approved on Monday, when the house is sold and money recieved they will then approach my creditors for a F&F settlement, they are saying that i will not have to pay the debts in full or with any further ...

My IVa has yet to be approved (creditors meeting 1st november[:(]) My father has recently died and I have been left 25% of the value of his home, not sold yet but will eventually realise approx 55k. If i put this aside will creditors or Ip know about it?

I have been talking to Byron & Keely, does anyone have experience of this company? It appears that they can set up an IVA for me paying back £260 per month to clear my debts, as well as covering their fees??[?]

I have some equity in my property of approximately 35k, with total debts of 42k, if i arrange an IVA how does this effect the outcome. I am confused as people are talking about equity release at year 5 or 6?

I have debts toatling 42k, I have set up my own DMP since december 2008 and have maintained payments, however at my current progress I wil take another 20 years[:(!] to pay it off! Is an IVA the answer?
