I finally received my completion certificate today! Entered IVA Dec 2009, 60 payments + overtime + bonus + PPI, emailed GT for update last Friday and they said the formally completed IVA 1st May. I now have the letter to send to credit reference agencies. Happy days![:)]

What is the average completion time following final payment? Is there an industry average or legal requirement? I made final payment to GT in December, insufficient equity, no further payments due, been told I've passed stage 2 of completion. Apart from that, getting information out of them is like ...

I made my final IVA payment in December, there was insufficient equity to remortgage at month 54, and the administrators have confirmed that no additional payments are due and my case is with the closure review team. The question is, now that I've made the final payment, but am awaiting formal closu...

As a civil servant I am likely to be offered voluntary redundancy. I'm currently 10 months into an IVA. My estimated payout would be about 90% of the original unsecured debt. In an IVA, would I have the option of taking voluntary redundancy, would I have to settle the original debt, or would the pro...

I recently worked my first overtime in ages (rarely available) which will be in this months pay, and have just been told we'll get a bonus, also in this months pay (no pay rise until 2012 though). Given the 10% / 50% rule, how much will I have to pay to the IVA based on these purely hypothetical fig...

Thanks for the advice, I'll save what I can, should be near enough, especially as I've qualified to get £200 support from the OU's own funds for the last 2 years, just under the salary threshold and now won't be exceeding it due to the 2 year pay cut/freeze! In my 2nd year of Politics, Philosophy an...

I'm in my second year of an OU degree, and will be registering for next years course in the autumn, at which point the fee becomes payable. There is an option to pay the fee in installments, but as this is a credit agreement, would it be allowed in an IVA? https://msds.open.ac.uk/your-record/p14.dll...

My first review isn't until December, but as my pay has been frozen for 2 years whilst the cost of living goes up (e.g. monthly fuel bill doubled due to replacing old gas fire with electric heater last autumn), is there any chance that my payment could go down or will it stay the same?

If I take up an IVA, can I retain the car finance (2 years to run), and keep my car? I have a large personal loan with the same company that provided the car finance.
