Hi When we went for our IVA, the company we went with actually advised us that Nat West would let us open accounts with them. We told the Nat West staff and there was no problem at all. I opened a savings account as well as a current account at the same time. Can honestly say we've had no trouble wi...

Hi I have just checked our paperwork for each of us and it does say "if the equity in the home is under £5,000, it does not have to be released, and there would be no adjustment to the IVA term". I have drafted my email to them, got 2 more valuations, one being their preferred user, got my secured l...

Hi there, That's what we were led to believe and yes it is a joint mortgage. Am just waiting on a redemption statement from mortgage co so I can email it with my new valuations, (which are now actually 4k below the ones I sent last time, therefore, bringing it to below the £5,000 each now that they ...

I contacted Aperture this morning as my ex partner received a letter stating that as there is no equity in the house, he has to pay 12 more months. My letter has not come yet but I assume it will say the same and if that is the case legally, and if its not just Aperture trying to pull a fast one then...

Hi All
When I do get my CC through (and I'm not holding my breath) is it a standard letter that everyone gets or is each IVA company different in the content of the letter and what details (if any) does it have written in it, such as when the final payment was made etc.?
Thanks

Hi all
After reading that a lot of people have 6 year IVAs, I wonder... if there is no equity in my home (which I'm sure there isn't) will I be asked to pay for another year to compensate for there not being any equity to release? I have just paid my final payment of 60.[8)]
Thanks for any replies.

Hi Contacted Aperture and yes, the IVA last payments are the 'final' ones. The guy explained that the closures team will now make sure that all payments have been made etc, and if there is any equity over 5k on the house, they will let us know. I am 99% sure that there isn't with what we owe on it s...
