Yes I agree, however not much you can do if they don't give their company details out when asked and hang up when pushed for them. They also incorrectly stated a IVA is on file for 6 years from when it was completed, which shows how much they know. However I was more annoyed about them tieing up old...

Had a phone call who referred to a IVA I had that completed in 2011 recently. Was livid, obviously using a very old record from a offline version of the insolvency register. said they had the right to use this and further data mine the lists to get my address and mobile from other means. Would not t...

Yes just last Summer I applied, and was accepted, for a mortgage with the Nationwide. They Did not ask about IVA, just have you ever been bankrupt, to which I said no. Got a high street rate fixed for 4 years too on their flexclusives :-) Advise I will give, you need to save up for a decent deposit....

You should wait until you get the completion certificate, or get approaval from your IP as technically until such time you get the certificate you are still in the IVA. The completion certificate will give you just that completion of the IVA, your creditors can no longer come after you for your debt...

Have you also checked what is on Equifax and Call Credit for your wife, the three may have different data? What account did the money that left Natwest go into? Was it a joint account with a debt? If it was an account in your name only then this should never have happened. If it was joint then yes t...

They are both part of the same group, Lloyds Banking Group. They told me at Lloyds that they could not see my Halifax accounts. Halifax were part of my IVA. When I went in to close the Halifax account I had lying dormant for the life of the IVA I were told that they could see me Lloyds accounts. Go ...

I'd go to the lender, as the CRA would have to get it from them anyway. Advantages of going to the creditor is that you contact them once telling them to update 3 CRA's rather than you contacting all 3 cra's for them to contact the creditor concerned.

Oh they should not be marking arrears once you enter a IVA. Ask that these are removed as you've defaulted.

There is no limit on how often you get a £2 report. What I'd do is sign up for free on noddle and watch how it progresses on there. Then when noddle have done their thing buy another report with Equifax and Experian. Or take up the free subscriptions and cancel before they take payment. Yes defaults...

How long has the IVA been cleared, how soon will the file be clean.

You'll stand a much better chance of acceptance for a normal bank account once all that has gone. It may be worth waiting!

It's the default date which is important. That should be on or before the start date of your IVA You have a completion certificate too, which is good cause now you can also ask that they also Mark the account to show no outstanding balance. Mark the account as Satisfied or Partially Satisfied Make s...

I'll work my way down. a) Either method should work. You need a way to show the credit reference agency that the association no longer exists between the two of you financially which a joint bank account will contradict b) Yes, as long as the bank allow it, as there is nothing in the account then yo...
