IVA was a non starter. what is the best way to approach my creditors and start paying them back pro rata.... Basically I want to be looking at a DMP, but sorting it out myself ... Do I have to send them all my I&E, or should I write and explain the situation and offer them a fixed sum for as long as...

IVA creditors meeting is set for the end of the month. I have received more letters from creditors this morning and when I rang them they advised me they do not hold the account any more and it has been passed to 'Blair Oliver and Scott'. Called them to update them and they know nothing about it.......

IVA paperwork going through, but have been 'reminded' about an old gas/electric bill from an old house which we were paying monthly. D/D was cancelled when we changed banks etc, and they have now asked for £442, which we obviously don't have. Can this be added to an IVA application at this late sta...

I would keep the last 1 of each and get rid of the rest. At least then you have something to fall back on if the question it at a later date.
I still have some old ones filed away from when I used to be alright with my finances

I was fearful of the phone calls aswell, and so changed all my numbers online. They must have had my 'real' number on file as they still kept trying. Am feeling a little smug tonight because I had a call from Lloyds, who immediately set about the security questions. I refused to give my personal det...

Am sure its on here somewhere but I am at a loss as to where !!! My question is about IVAs in joint names etc. My wife and I both have debt, but although its 'household' debt its only in sole names rather than joint. If we went down the IVA route how does that work out ? I have been told about inter...

There are lots of these companies about. I have used several over the last few years, and by far (in my opinion) the best in terms of pay out speed and price was Mazuma. They even took an old broken iPhone which had been dropped in the bath and paid over £100 for it. exactly as they quoted online. W...

Is it worth opening a new account sooner rather than later and just having it there for when the IVA goes through (hopefully)..... With that in mind... What about the overdraft fees on existing accounts ? I like so many others, live in the overdraft, get paid, pay bills and am then back into the ove...

Thanks all for your replies... It's reassuring that there are so many people in similar circumstances who can point the way. I know how and why I am in this position. And want to pay it back. But am stuck in that vicious circle that I am sure we all know about. Am sure I will have many more question...

How do IVAs work with car finance ? We have two cars in our household, we need them both because we live in the middle of nowhere, work shifts and there is no way of using public transport to get to and from work. We also work opposite shifts to minimise child care costs and to cover school runs. Bo...
