Hi and welcome. You are not rambling I had the same fear and it seemed to take forever for my new account to be opened. It was actually only just over a week, but once I had told my employer my new bank details I felt a bit better. My timing was a bit out because I started the IVA process and wages ...

I actually work for the Lloyds Banking Group. I worked for HBOS at the time of the takeover and my payslip still says HBOS not Lloyds. Furthermore, everyone who works for the group has had new terms and conditions, effective 1st October. My employer is still listed as HBOS plc. Sorry for the ramblin...

Lesley thank you so much, I value your opinion and I was thinking of stopping paying (all my accounts are up to date at the moment !) and building up a contingency is far better in the long run. Here you are on the day you received bad news still offering advice and trying to help and reassure other...

I'm reading this thread with interest as I too am very confused about the pro-rota payment CCCSVA advised me to do. I am half tempted not to pay anything but I was advised that it will go in my favour in that I still attempted to pay something every month. Would this actually be mentioned during the...

This is a really good idea. I'm just starting my journey I'm at the drafting of the proposal stage and my emotions are very very erratic at the moment. I'm looking forward to the moment when my bank statement, the day before payday, says 0.01p cr and not 4 figures debit. Hope your feeling better soo...

Hi all, I am just starting to go down the IVA route, waiting for my proposal to be drafted. I have been thinking about getting a second job working behind a bar. From the enquiries I've made 2 shifts a week would give me just under £50 a week. Would all this have to be handed over? I have an old car...

I have to agree with kallis3 I'm supposed to be the sensible one in the family and could not face disappointing my parents. Everybody's situation is different but I personally just could not tell them about the mess I am in. I would love to be able to come clean and if anyone is in a situation where...
