Hello all, I spoke to DFD today regarding our incredibly slow annual review, but that is another matter. I broached the subject of home visits and was told that they had stopped using Royal Mail, so any paperwork that couldn't be scanned or emailed back to them would need to be completed with the he...

I think it is partly to do with the fact that DFD are quite a hands off company, we were told, when we set up our IVA, that it was just a paperwork formality, as long as we paid/did what was expected/asked of us, they wouldn't really bother us, and we have found that to be exactly the case. So the i...

Possibly you may need to check your paperwork, ours says that we are to obtain 2 valuations for the purpose of calulating the equity position, in month 54. We are then to send these into our IP. Does your paperwork not specify what you are to do and when?

Thanks Til, so confusing isn't it, you would hope really that the company would use the same sort of wording on everyone IVA's rather than changing it from one person's to another. We will challenge them when we get to mth 54, so thank you for the advice.

We also had been told by DFD that we would have too pay an extra years payments in lieu of equity, even though we are in negative equity. When questioned they said it was at the supervisors discretion. That is not what our paperwork says, and our chairmans report doesn't even mention equity. Dependi...

It benefits them, as they can trawl back through your financial history and claim PPI on any historic loans/cards etc you have.

How is it though that EIF have decided that all PPI has been missold, what happens if it wasn't and hypothetically we intentionally took it it out on loans? What happens then?

Thank you for all your replies, we are doing everything that DFD and EIF have asked us too, with regards to signing forms, (except the new t and cs) just querying as we feel that they have had 4 years so far to chase the PPI, and as most of the debt was credit cards, why does it take so long?

Hi Foggy, We do not have enough equity in our house to release, i.e it is under the £5000. So would that be the end of the IVA? Even if the paperwork doesn't say that it is?
