I'm just reviewing an IVA ,two council tenants both on benfits one disability living one carers allowance. No assetts no car. Only one owed over 15k one owed 1500 so an IVA company said 'only one solution an IVA. So they were told to pay their benefits into an IVa 198 per month. they live as paupers...

Lets not be too precious here folks. Not all IVAs ARE appropriate. As a mortgage broker of 27 years I've seen a few, as I was asked to remortgage for equity clause on many occasions. Now of course that can't be done, 82% of uk mortgages comes from 5 lenders. We used to have over 300 lender pre crunc...

I wonder if anyone can help?i've an uncle in a iva he is a tenant with no assets and his income has fell off a cliff. He stopped payng his iva months ago and wants to go bankrupt.Trouble is the iva company have totally withdrawn and won't issue a termination certificate which the court want to see. ...
