Great, I am 2 days away from 6 year point of completed IVA. My equifax credit file was showing all green ticks and defaults removed but Lloyds have bounced the default date to January 2011 for their account that was part of my IVA which commenced 26/11/2010!. The account had been showing satisfied a...

You can maintain an IVA whilst living abroad - many people on here are in that situation. Your other option is to offer full and final offer if you have sufficient funds from a third party.

Thanks, but have update from Equifax. The default date on my Halifax credit card was 19th October 2010. But for some odd reason the date itself has been changed to 25 Oct 2010!. Can the creditors do this ?. Change a default date? Equifax are going to take it up with Halifax - just don't want it boun...

Thanks foggy. Will raise an equifax query. The strange thing is they have changed status from settled or partially settled to a default status again.

Hello, I completed my IVA last year and my six year anniversary is next month. I notice Halifax on my credit file defaulted yesterday despite the original default date of 19/10/10. I understood that defaults should fall off after 6 years?. Anyone know if this is just computer updating . I informed a...

Mont, I had similar situation when I sent valuation and letter to I.P showing I had very little equity based on 85% LTV they replied showing a different calculation and the one you illustrated. 85% of your interest in the property. Check your original proposal. I argued that they were wrong and in t...

Hi, they didn't default me again but I received several threatening letters. Doing to them once on the phone and the girl was very apologetic. My debt was settled years ago but letters we're going to an old address. Very frustrating for you - something wrong with their systems. It will sort itself o...

Just market value based on "3 month sale basis". I.P accepted this no problems. My issue was more to do with 85% LTV which I had to argue and appeal as the IVA firm insisted on using different formula. In the end a letter was sent to all creditors to seek their interpretation but no reply so it went...

Right, I did ask for a "forced sale" or 3 month sale basis but the valuer said there was no such thing in RICS valuations red book but referred to market value and "special assumption " of sale being made within 3 months!. All technical stuff but the value was considerably lower than what I was expe...
