Where do they get your details from if you are no longer on the insolvency register etc

It makes no difference whatsoever that it shows completed successfully. It will drop off your credit report six years after the start date, this should then improve your score as long as all your defaults are off as well.

I agree with Herbert. My iva was the best decision for me. I completed my iva last year and I am now debt free. If I hadn't of gone down this route I would be paying my debt for 20 years plus. It was extremely hard at times, but has paid off in the end.

Do you mean credit companies you held a debt with may hold for 12 years?, if that's the case how would your employer obtain that information, all they can really do is check the insolvency register and do a credit check.

If your iva now doesn't show up anywhere how could anyone find out you entered into an arrangement.

My iva started on 1st July 2010 and when it completed last year I then checked all my default dates were on or before this. Exactly my point Lisa. I could tick yes or no, this will be held on file with no further checks carried out and if they did further checks how could they now find out about my iva.
