thanks Foggy, I thought as much, I'll wait to see if I hear anything back from Mel but I guess it's not looking good. I don't think we could remortgage at present, we have a really good fixed rate of 1.99% with 68% LTV and in year 3 of a 5yr fix so not sure if its worth moving as there'll be a penal...

Hi all, it's been a while! I hope everyone that remembers me are all doing well. Me and my husband had IVA's agreed in 2011 and had a variation agreed in 2014, we didn't get completion certificates until Feb 2016 due to PPI reclaims and an outstanding debt that was originally missed and had to be in...

Will do, thanks. I've had the vetting questionnaires today and they do ask if you are in an iva to which I've ticked no, (it feels so good to say that!) and it also asks if you are insolvent to which again I've ticked no. I've phoned the vetting dept up and spoke to them about it and they've said it...

I first came on here as a frightened emotional wreck just before Christmas in 2010, went through the trauma of having to default all our £60k worth of debt and the seemingly never ending phone calls and demands while we took loads of advice regarding an iva which was finally agreed in 2011. It's bee...

Hi again everyone, so Melanie has informed me that hopefully our closure will be finalised by the end of this week, almost 18 months after our full and final, due to delays in PPI investigations etc, it's been a long road but finally getting there. Can anyone tell me following closure how long it ta...

All creditors accepted apart from my major creditor, to be fair to my ip, they have been great and been back and forth with this creditor all day trying to sort it out, so far it's adjourned, the major creditor wants us to carry on for another 6 months with a 6 month payment break to see if I can fi...

Variation meeting this morning to accept payments made to date, I am so nervous and feel sick, haven't slept properly last few days as I'm really not sure what's going to happen if it's rejected.
Please keep everything crossed for us....

I would also think that your iva company will add on fees on top of the £48k you owe, I am surprised it has got this far without your IP's knowledge to be honest, I would have thought you wouldn't have been able to sell without them releasing their charge on the property and from there coming to an ...
