I have done this too. Yet banks do not understand why? Its a crazy process, they want you to tell them confidential details over phone, but wont tell you what the call is about. They should stop phoning when they get the quote, but the communication across the banks isnt that good and some call centre agents will just have an outbound calling list. I am due to have my iva proposal meeting with creditors in 3 days. A relative has given me a cheque of several thousand pound,to help cover unforseen expenses and to buy some clothes etc, but i am unsure about cashing the cheque. Am i able to have this gift in my bank?
