Hi Chris.cj I am with Freeman Jones, part of the Think Money group, I have been in my IVA coming up a year now, I have found them great to deal with, efficient and always available on the phone. I only speak from my experience though, and as Foggy says it's best to shop around, and always find somet...

Well good for you :-) at least you can start saving now!

I have £1.00 in my savings at the moment, I'm waiting for payday so I can put a little bit more in!

Foggy,

How did you get on with the Natwest e-savings account?
Did you get a response from them? :-)

Suprised that the Natwest have said that. Nearly a year ago when I had to change banks I went to open the basic Step account, I was asked at the time if I had any 'adverse history' with any other banks etc, so I was honest and said I was entering into an IVA and I was told that it wasnt a problem. U...

Hi Joan

Although I don't bank with or have savings with Santander. I bank with Natwest and when I opened a savings account with them, less than a month ago, they didnt do a credit check on me.

Hello.

If your IVA is approved at the meeting, the IVA begins straight away.

Good luck! :-)

Hi Jo, I think everyone one here can remember that feeling of not knowing where to turn, but the great thing is you have taken the first step by wanting to do something about your debt.

Great advice above, just hang on in there, good luck x

My budget is liveable also. I'm able to have the odd treat and I've just started saving, it was hard to get used to at first, as I'd never budgeted for a thing in my life! But now I find I get great satisfaction from it, knowing what little money that I have at the end of the month is mine, and I ma...

I had a debt with Santander which was sold onto Max Recovery and it's not showing anywhere on my credit report, it was for around £275, not a huge amount.

I wonder why it's not showing?....

A quick question about credit reports.

If a debt has been sold on, would it still appear on your credit report?

That's great Foggy!! I have just transfered some money over into my new e-saving Natwest account. One great thing about it, which I have just realised, it has a savings tracker so for an example you can put what you want to save for, how much you can save each month, and when you want to save it up ...

I've not been on a holiday abroad for a good few years....way before my IVA started. The key I feel to being able to treat yourself to hols etc. is good budgeting and saving. It's not easy by no means, and it's taken me a good few months to be able to budget properly, but in doing so I feel a great ...
