I can't understand why they would credit check you? It's just a basic savings account....
Oh well I'm sure there are others, if I was you I'd maybe shop around.
Good luck!

Hi and Welcome! I'm sure everyone on here can identify to that feeling. I never made any token payments to creditors, and I didnt contact them either, I left that in the hands of my IVA company. I feel lucky as only 2 of my creditors rang me once or twice and when they asked I did tell them about th...

Thanks Foggy!
No, the form I've got to send off is a little slip to say I authorise for £1.00 to be transfered into the savings account.
I wonder why they can't just transfer the £1.00 over? Seeing as though it's an e-savings account.

I received my Natwest e-savings welcome pack today! It all looks fairly straightforward, just got to sign and send back a form to authorise depositing an initial £1.00 into the account then it'll be opened. Considering it's an internet only account found it abit strange that I have to sign a form to...

I am also with Freeman Jones, I have been in my IVA for nearly a year now and throughout I have found them brilliant! Although I don't have the bank account, I find the basic Natwest Step account is enough for me.

Fingers crossed Foggy, I'm sure you will be fine.
leaKybrain will let you know when I get my welcome pack, but I agree with Foggy, you transfer money on-line between accounts, it sounds fairly straightforward.

Foggy, I decided to just go for it and applied on-line. I was accepted straight away, I'll recieve a welcome pack within 3 days. No credit checks! And because I bank on-line with them, the application form is already filled in for you, you just have to pay in an initial £1.00 to open it! Go for it! ...

I'm with the Natwest too, but I only have their basic Step account. I want to open their savings account, just not got round to it yet. As far as I know just for a basic savings account they wouldnt do a credit check. Well I hope not, otherwise I'm in trouble too! I went into the branch last time, b...

I have been sent loads of these letters, but through reading up on this forum and a letter from my IVA company telling me to ignore them...that's what I did! If you are happy in your IVA it just doesnt make any sense what so ever to take any notice of this garbage.

Natwest bank was great with me also. When I opened the account they did ask me if I had any 'adverse history' with any other banks, which of course I answered honestly.
The acount is a basic Step account but you do get a debit card with it.
Good luck!
