So I've not been here for a while but remember what it was like to be in an IVA and thinking life would never improve! In brief I started my IVA in June 2010 with PJG and was transfered to CreditFix towards the end. I was lucky to be able to do overtime at work and was pro active in sending payslips...

My first year seemed to go very slowly, probably because I still didn't really know what to expect and it took some time to get used to budgeting. Also the first review was something I dreaded as again I didn't know what to expect. As it happened my payments stayed the same throughout my IVA term an...

Lou I made my final payment in May and the CC is date 30 June so guess the final review took place somewhere in between. The only contact i had was to sign the letter relating to PPI which was sent on 18 June so it was wrapped up quickly after that. I always sent my payslips each month .. I guess th...

They do a final review to make sure you've paid everything due but not the same as the yearly reviews you normally do as there is no I&E to submit. They didn't ask me for anything but I always emailed them my payslips each month .. they'll likely ask for those if you don't send them as the need to c...

For those of you worried about the length of time Creditfix may take to to issue your CC here’s a good news story. IVA agreed on 18/6/2010 through PJG and first payment made straight away ... my final payment fell in May this year and like many, wondered how long I’d have to wait for my CC knowing C...

Hi

I did the same which was classed as a first payment .. they clearly stated to me that it wouldn't be banked if the the IVA was declined. Creditfix haven't queried it.

Edit:- I've always kept all emails/letters just to be on the safe side!

It's worth having a good read of your chairman's report and original proposal. - Is your IVA Protocol Compliant https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/individual-voluntary-arrangement-iva-protocol (9.3 If the amount of the debtor’s net worth net of remortgage costs in the home at the review date...

Do bear in mind that what you have paid so far doesn't really reduce what you owe until you hit 100p/£. If your plan were to go it's course you would pay a further 34 months at £111 (£3774) plus any equity that you have from your property.

Makes you wonder at what point your IVA is actually over! What would have happened had you moved home in the mean time? I'm hoping to move home a couple of years after mine is over but surely I can't be expected to send my IVA company a change of address card as well!!

I would recommend getting a couple of valuations yourself .. no harm in trying. How has your IP come to their valuation ... drive by/zoopla? If you can get a couple of valuations around the £116k mark or below then I'd try to get the IP to discard their valuation. They have no idea of the condition ...

Make sure your IVA company are calculating your equity correctly based on your paperwork. Some are working equity out based on 100% of valuation less outstanding mortgage as opposed to 85% of valuation less mortgage. This happened to me until I queried it

If they agree it is 2010 compliant then they need to comply! I'd send them or refer to sections 9.2 &9.3 of the protocol particularly the 9.3 part that says "If the amount of the debtors net worth net of remortgage costs in the home at the review date is under £5k, it is considered de minimis, and d...
