I had the same text this week, I deleted it as only 9 months of my 6th year left. Had a brief issue at equity release time when CF passed my details to Just Lending when I thought CF were going to force me into a secured loan, but it got sorted out in the end and I extended for another year.

Try HSBC and Chelsea Building Society, their online application goes right through to the end where you get a refusal due to the obvious credit checks. I took a screen shot and my IP accepted these.

Hi, I received the same letter from CF early this year. I've copied and pasted a link to my post about it below, but basically they can't force you into a secured loan and give them a call and you should be ok.

Hi, I recently went through the old equity release with CF, and after a few weeks worry they were trying to send me down the secured loan route due to a badly written standard letter, they just accepted my original PJG proposal and I've now extended for another 12 months. Tbh CF have been ok they ju...

Hey Recovering, I wouldn't worry to much about mortgage applications. You're with Creditfix same as me aren't you? I've just gone through this as per my recent posts, I just did two online applications with HSBC and Chelsea Building Society and sent in screenshots of the mortgage declined page(the C...

Honestly is sometimes the best policy. My IVA almost didn't get started due to the valuation I recieved, so I went back to the estate agent and told the truth and they knocked £20k off the valuation. My IVA was approved soon after.

You will need to stop paying creditors once the IVA process starts, and like others have said put the money away for a contingency (my boiler needed repairing a couple of weeks before my IVA was approved so it definitely came in handy). Your creditors will start hassling you once payments have stopp...

Hi all. Spoke with my CF caseworker today and after gearing myself up to dig my heals in I needn't have worried! First thing he said was did I have a concern with the IVA extending for 12 months, which took me by surprise, I obviously told him no as that's what I expected to happen but was concerned...

Didn't your IP advise you to switch to a new account while sorting your IVA? It was one of the first things they told me to do, my old account with Lloyd also had a loan so switched to the Co-op about 2-3 months before IVA was approved while my credit score was still ok.

Hi just a quick update. I'm unable to speak with my IP until tomorrow now. But I've had a look through my original paperwork from PJG and as suspected nothing in the proposal saying secured loan, just the usual remortgage, 3rd party or 12 additional months. And it looks like I'm on the 2008 protocol...

Thanks for all the replies it's given me some encouragement to stand my ground. I didn't get chance to look through my paperwork last night (son's football training) but like Abbiesmum I'm sure it doesn't say secured loan. I also didn't get a call back from Just Lending (Googled them and nothing cam...

Wonder if I can get some advise please. Just going through the equity release malarkey with Creditfix and after having to chase them I'm finally getting somewhere. I received a letter from CF last week stating the equity release is £46k as of 85% LTV, although I'm querying this not because I think i...

My original IVA was with PJG, and like most got moved to CF last year. I'll go through my paperwork later and hopefully find nothing regards secured loans!
