I had exactly the same with Welcome Finance. It's ok you don't need to worry. Simply send a copy of the completion certificate and letter (that states that if the majority of creditors agree etc) to the data controller at Clydesdale and ask them to update the credit file and move the default date to...

Hello, I had the same, 1 month after I completed IVA I got an Experian credit report and no mention of the IVA. However this is not correct info, make sure you put any previous addresses on there. There's no hiding from it, it will be there until exactly 6 years after the start date. Hope this helps

I know this is the case I we are exchanging contracts next week and we only had a 10% depost on a 110k house.

I hope it works out for you too. You just might need to wait a short while instead of struggling with a huge deposit

You will need to wait until 6 years after the date your IVA started then u will have a clean rating and get a mortgage no problem. I would advise you get a credit card to rebuild your credit score, I got a capital one and as long as you pay it in time it will build your score. The IVA will fall off ...

Guys just to keep you in the loop I applied to capital one and got accepted with a 1k limit. I don't want a credit card to be honest but it's just to build my credit rating up. Onward and upward keep the faith fellow iva'ers!

Thanks for the support everyone

Will Vanquis definitely accept me? I don't want another negative footprint on my report..

I've looked at their website and it sounds great and would look good on my report.

Thanks again,

Paul

Thanks for the speedy response guys. I have one default registered on 17/09/05 from Welcome Finance and I will call them tomorrow to ask for this to be removed. I have two quick questions.. 1. Who is the ICO? 2. I have partially settled (balance is £0)accounts from Halifax that show a date of Dec 20...

I'm wondering if someone can help? I entered into an IVA on 30/03/05 and completed it successfully after 5 years. It's due to be removed from my credit file on 30/03/2011.. However when I look at my credit report it shows that some of my creditors only marked my accounts as 'partially settled' in De...
