Thats exactly how I feel. To claim PPI just feels the wrong thing to do. I was interested in the clearing up the credit file part. I'll now look into doing this myself.
Im hopeless at doing things like this so if anyone can point me in the right direction would be fantastic.

Hmm I thought they resembled "ambulance chasers." A bit like the solictors i've seen who drive around the shopping centres in an old ambulance all painted up with "no win no fee" written all over it.

If your off the register, does that mean your case is closed? Me and my wife are off the register but have not recieved any certificates from Grant Thornton.

Hi everyone, Ive had a letter sent to me today from a company called Tyler Morgan offering to correct my credit files and to remove all the old defaults and also claim back any mis-sold PPI. Now i feel that its a bit cheeky to claim the PPI back now that my IVA has completed and I know I can clear m...

I dont know why it will take so long but as long as its done and dusted thats all that matters. Ive already opened a new savings account and all the money that went into the IVA will now go into this. I wont realise how good it feels till that big chunk of money goes into my savings account instead ...

Thanks for all your replies. If you've just started out or half way through your IVA, just stick with it and get yourself sorted out. I was in a terrible mess 5 years ago, I had loans and credit cards coming out of my ears!! If the one thing ive learnt through being in an IVA is how to budget. I thi...

Ive decided to leave my payments as they are and let it finish in June. I'll do a new I&E and send it off asap. Its nice of my mum&dad to offer but I got myself into this so I will finish it off. Just one last question to ask and sorry for being a pain in bum, but in November I had to pay £269 for a...

Hi all, thanks for all your replies. I never really thought of the time it would take to sort out the paperwork etc etc. I might just let it run its course now. Its been a long and hard time but I cant wait till its finished. Ive learnt a very harsh lesson over the last 4 1/2 years I it will NEVER h...

Now paying this IVA has been a long journey and it gets me down paying it every month. My mum and dad have offered to pay my IVA off for me so me and ...
