Hi, One of the posts you often see is "can I get a mortgage after an IVA". The answer is yes. The team at Zebra (Mike Jones) are a godsend. We were less than two years completed, and have a new high street mortgage at a great rate. So work with a broker (I went with Zebra, but I know the others on h...

Hi DK, So shortly after the 6 years of an IVA there are very few HIgh Street Lenders who will look to lend normally. A few will consider applications whcih generally means going to an Underwriter. We certainly have access to Lenders who would look to lend normally now. It can also be a completely d...

Excellent choice - no disrespect to the great contributors from other companies, but MD have been excellent - very clear and transparent for the annual reviews, and the team in Derry that I have dealt with have been wonderful. Recommended!!

Hi all, Hopefully an easy question for someone - my IVA ends this year at the end of year five - no extension as I have no equity. In terms of coming off the insolvency register and the restriction on the house - do these come off once last payments have been processed etc, or will it be at the end ...

Hello everyone - first post for a LONG time!! Can't believe that I am close to month 54 - so close in fact that I have just sorted by redemption statement and had a valuation on the house. It looks promising - house valued at £165k, outstanding mortgage of £138k. Using the 85% LTV it comes out at £1...

Howdy!! Just a quicky! The eldest is getting to the age where she's getting more in dependant, and would like a bank account with a debit card for her hard earned pocket money!! Will the iva prevent this? I bank with the co-op, who don't provide a kids account. Anyone else been through this?! Cheers...

Hi all, Following on from my earlier posts, my car, after £1,000 of repairs which came out of a long saved pot of cash, has come back with another fault, which will cost another fortune to repair. A fortune I don't have. I'll be phoning my company tomorrow McCambridge Duffy) to see whether I'm allow...

I was thinking - in my Annual review I will be due to pay in some bonus money from Christmas - only about £150 - If I can demonstrate that I have used this for essential car repairs, will they insist in it still being paid into the IVA?
